A voyage in the heart of “Pelagos” cetaceans sanctuary, between Corsica eastern coast and Elba’s western coast, covering also the islands of Capraia, Pianosa and Montecristo.
This stretch of sea boasts the highest presence of cetaceans of the entire Mediterranean. Here it is pretty likely to come across bottlenose dolphins (large dolphins that often love to chase ships trails) , striped dolphins (smaller dolphins that move in numerous pods while performing spectacular leaps), pilot whales and long-finned Risso’s dolphins (always in pods), it is not rare to spot also Mediterranean whales (second for size only to fin whales) as well as sperm whales.
Aboard a sailing boat captained by an experienced skipper and accompanied by an environmental guide specialized in sighting and recognition of cetaceans, we will go on an three days outing to watch and study these wonderful inhabitants of our seas.
