Multisport Voyage

7 days aboard a sailing boat navigating around the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, stopping at the most suggestive locations for trekking, kayaking and snorkeling excursions.

Multisport Voyage Program

The voyage sets off from Elba Island with its schedule being tailored according to wind and sea conditions; the following is a brief description of a typical voyage

1st day Island of Elba-Portoferraio. Trekking hike

1pm point group at Portoferraio port, meeting with the guide and skipper; at about 2 pm, after lunch, brief visit to the town’s Medicean area. 4pm boarding, luggage storing and galley provisioning. Just before dinner we’ll sail to Viticcio to watch the sunset

2nd day Island of Elba-Marciana Marina. Trekking and snorkeling excursion.

7am: Departure towards Marciana Marina, the starting point of our hike to the Archipelago summit, from which we’ll be able to enjoy a view ranging from the Tuscan coast to Corsica, embracing all the islands of the Archipelago. The descent offers a breathtaking panorama, with Elba’s shape gradually appearing below us. After a walk through the small village of Poggio and its granite stairways; a path surrounded by ferns will lead us back to the harbour. In the afternoon we will head by boat to Sant’ Andrea, for snorkeling among the smooth granite rocks.

3rd day SantAndrea-Capraia Island . Snorkeling, trekking and kayaking excursion.

7am Departure by boat towards Capraia Island, stop over for a swim by Cala Rossa followed by lunch. Kayaks in the sea, we will cover in turn stretches of the wonderful Capraia coast. In the afternoon visit to the local village then hiking excursion to Stagnone, the only natural lake among the whole Archipelago. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

4th day Capraia Island -Africhella. Off coast excursion + snorkeling.

7am: Departure from Capraia; weather permitting, we will sail in the direction of “Africa rock”, a small cliff about 50 miles off Capraia; during the few hours of navigation, life on board will flow between casting fishing lines into the sea, a little relaxation and some basics for navigating our sailing boat. When, out of nowhere, a beacon appears, we will know to have reached our destination. Such rock, slightly bigger than a small city square, thanks to its remoteness, is just the most evocative and fascinating one can imagine. Later in the evening we get to enjoy a lighthouse illuminated swim then spend the night aboard somewhere in the area.

5th day Africhella-Marina di Campo. Snorkeling and trekking excursion.

7am: Departure towards Elba Island. After about an hour of navigation, deep blue waters will make way to “Sommiti”, a series of shoals with an extraordinary biological heritage, a perfect spot to stop for snorkeling. In the afternoon we will set off by kayak from Marina di Campo beach to explore the hidden ravines of “Buca dell’Acqua”. Followed by a trekking excursion to the lighthouse and military outposts of Capo Poro. On board dinner and overnight stay in Galenzana bay.

6th day Marina di Campo-Porto Azzurro. Snorkeling and trekking excursion.

7 am: Departure eastwards to Calamita mine. Before lunch, a swim in the emerald waters typical of the coasts off the Calamita promontory. In the afternoon, we will go on a trekking hike to the old mining sites; then reach the little town of Porto Azzurro in the evening.

7th day Porto Azzurro-Portoferraio.

7am Departure for our last sail together. Arrival in Portoferraio around 12 noon, where we will part until our next adventure.
