Snorkeling for adults and children on the wreck of the Elviscot motor ship<\/h3>\n

The wreck of the Elviscot motor ship is one of the few opportunities in Italy to be able to observe the remains of a ship with the only use of a mask, snorkel and fins. In 1972, a 90 m Italian merchant ship en route between Naples and Marseille, due to a failure at the helm, collided and sank near the Ogliera rock in front of the town of Pomonte.<\/p>\n

Over the years the large iron skeleton has become the refuge and home of thousands of fish including: Occhiate, Castagnole, Saraghi, Donzelle, Tordi. The wreck lying on its side is located about 200 m from the beach at a depth ranging from -2 m to -13 of the seabed. Thanks to the exceptional transparency of the waters and the presence of hundreds of fish, it is the most interesting place on the island of Elba for fans of snorkeling<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Starting by swimming directly from the beach of Pomonte, accompanied by an expert guide from the “Il Viottolo” excursion center, we will reach the Ogliera rock, where the fascinating wreck of the Elviscot motor ship is located on a low seabed of about 12 meters. .<\/p>\n

Equipped with fins, mask and snorkel and safety equipment, we will discover a particular marine habitat rich in fish that await us in the thousands to swim with us. Easy experience even for families and children with good water skills.<\/p>\n
