WEEKLY EXCURSION PROGRAMME

Monday
Hiking: “The Roman columns” an excursion of archaeological, botanical and historical interest. Time 9 am – 1 pm.
Sea kayak: “The coast of grottos”, from 3 pm to 7 pm – easy
Mountain bike: “Monte Calamita”, a fabulous route including the spectacular mountain bike world cup descent, among iron mines, enchanting coves and seagull colonies. Time 8 am – 1 pm – medium

Tuesday
Hiking: “the Ginevro mine” an interesting and striking excursion inside the tunnels of the mine on Monte Calamita Time 9 am – 1 pm.
Mountain bike: “The spectacular paths of Western Elba” from 8 am to 1 pm – medium
Sea kayak: “La buca dell’acqua” from 3 pm to 7 pm – easy

Wednesday
Hiking: “ The summit of Elba” Monte Capanne hiking time 9 am to 1 pm – challenging
Sea kayak: “ The emerged underwater volcano”, from 2.30 pm to 7 pm – medium
Mountain bike: “Western Elba” Competitive ascents and long panoramic descents that end up in the sea. Time 4 pm – 8 pm – challenging

Thursday
Sea Kayak: “The grottos and the secret coves of the Island of Pianosa” , from 8 am to 5 pm – medium
Hiking: “The Iron Mines” from 9 am to 1 pm – easy

Friday
Mountain bike: “In the iron heart”, the paths of Eastern Elba, from 8 am to 1 pm – medium
Hiking: “The mystical summit with the Pisan church of Saint Bartolomeo” time 9 am – 1 pm – medium
Sea Kayak: “The secret beaches of the southern coast” time 2.30 pm – 6.30 pm easy |
Saturday
Hiking: The western boroughs – soft hiking. Time 9 am – 1 pm
Sea kayak: the beaches of the south side of the Island. Time 2.30 pm – 6.30 pm – easy.
Mountain bike: “The military positions of the second world war” paths in the Mediterranean maquis – medium. Time 4 pm – 8 pm. |
Sunday
Sea kayak: “The iron coast” (Marina di Campo – Capo Caldo), from 10 am to 6 pm – challenging
Sailing: Elba from the sea – excursion in a sailing boat in the south-western part to get to know secret coves. Time 2 pm – 6 pm

Guided hiking, sea kayak and mountain bike excursions for small groups. All the excursions are covered by insurance: Regional Law 30/7/97 discipline for the profession of environmental excursion guide.
The cost of the excursions for the public is 30 euro for a half day and 40 euro for a full day, 90 euro for a sailing boat. The sea kayak and necessary equipment is included for the sea kayak excursions. |
